NACC is accepting applications for mentorship program

Apply for the NACC Mentorship Program if you are interested in pursuing the performing arts as a career and would like support both artistically and in business (up to a two year term). NACC provides opportunities for performing artists in the NWT to collaborate in varying capacities with established artists that are part of our season line-up, workshop & office space (in some NWT locations), a yearly group show at a NACC venue, mentorship to develop the business capacity of the artist and much more. Performing Artist Disciplines and Submission Criteria:  

Spoken Word, Poetry or Storytelling:

-Completed application form

-Writing Sample(max: 5 pages)

-500 word essay: Please explain why you are interested in the program, what you hope

to gain and what your aspirations are as a performance poet/storyteller.

-A list of past performances

 

Playwrights, Acting or Multimedia:

- Completed application form

- Play written or Multimedia show by an individual or as a collaborative effort

- Demo of acting in various shows in a video format

- 500 word essay: Please explain why you are interested in the program, what you hope to

gain and what your aspirations are as a performance actor, writer or filmmaker

A list of past performances

 

Dance:

- Completed application form

- Video footage of a piece of choreography performed by the applicant

- 500 word essay: Please explain why you are interested in the program, what you hope to gain and what your aspirations are as a performance dancer

- A list of past performances

 

Music, Singer or Composer:

- Completed application form

- Recording of two original songs

- Accompanying lyrics

- 500 word essay: Please explain why you are interested in the program, what you hope to

gain and what your aspirations are as a performance singer or music composer
