The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film\, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez\, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production. \n\n\n\nA story of true love and acceptance between sisters\, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger\, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. DESCRIPTION:Presented As part of the Northern Spark Emerging Artist Series\n\n\n\nA Collaboration Between NACC and The UNDerground\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAward-winning classical soprano Diana Rockwell returns to the North fresh from her Masters studies at the University of Manitoba with soprano Tracy Dahl. A dynamic and versatile performer\, she has graced Yellowknife stages as an actor\, dancer\, singer and instrumentalist for many years. Before making her solo debut with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra in Fall of 2024 and claiming the Madeleine Gauvin Scholarship with the Women’s Musical Club of Winnipeg and the Rose Bowl Trophy with the Winnipeg Music Festival in 2024\, she was the first person from the NWT to win the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers Association’s National Vocal Competition in 2023. During her musical studies\, she took part in both Edmonton and Manitoba Opera’s choruses\, and has performed roles such as Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte with Summer Opera Lyric Theatre\, Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte and Mère Marie in Dialogues des Carmélites (excerpts) with University of Manitoba\, Frederic from The Pirates of Penzance and La Contessa from Le nozze di Figaro (excerpts)\, with University of Alberta’s Opera Theatre\, and Phoebe Dy’Squith in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder with NUOVA Vocal Arts. Yellowknife audiences of all ages may recognize her from her recent school concert tour “Kings\, Queens & Pheasants” in Fall of 2025\, and Yellowknife Youth Choir’s “Opera Stars” concert in Spring of 2025. \n\n\n\nMust be 19+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is organized by:

It’s Christmas Eve at the Silberhaus residence\, and excitement runs high as last minute preparations are made. Guests begin to arrive to celebrate the holiday with Clara and her family. Arriving late in the midst of the celebration is Drosselmeyer\, Clara’s mysterious uncle. He entertains everyone with magic tricks and mechanical dolls. Drosselmeyer then presents Clara with a wooden nutcracker soldier. Her sibling Fritzy feels slighted\, becomes jealous and tries to take the nutcracker from Clara. In the struggle\, the nutcracker is broken. Clara is devastated\, but Drosselmeyer mends the nutcracker. As the children grow weary the guests depart\, and Drosselmeyer disappears as mysteriously as he had arrived. Clara carefully places her beloved nutcracker under the Christmas tree before the family retires to bed. That night\, Clara tiptoes back to the Christmas tree and falls asleep next to the wooden Nutcracker doll.
