SUMMARY:TRANSHUMANIST / SUPERHUMAN
DESCRIPTION:NEXT ZONE is a Denmark based company working with OPEN STYLE DANCE.  Choreographer Lene Boel works with dancers from different street dance backgrounds such as popping\, locking\, electro\, break dance\, hip hop\, and new circus. She creates a distinct choreographic language which is unique for each production and very visceral. The pieces challenge the language of the human body and what it can express through very articulated and highly physical dance. Dealing with contemporary themes interlacing with the past\, present\, and future the performances communicate to audience of all ages through non-verbal movement\, original music\, and sustainable atmospheric light.  \n\n\n\nTRANSHUMANIST features two dancers balancing between both the artificial and the human\, and between machine and human. It explores the upgrading of the human body and mind in extremely articulated body language. \n\n\n\nSUPERHUMAN explores the limits for the capacities of the human body in a unique and thought-provoking performance that redefines the human being in new optimised versions. It has already become the everyday to enhance human characteristics artificially and modern science has brought closer the dream of the perfect human being. But what happens to humanity in the future if all humans are optimized with new skills that reaches beyond our current mental and physical capacities? \n\n\n\nThe distinctive choreographic language within the performance builds on explorations of mental states\, translated into extreme physical movements in a fusion of urban dance\, new composed music and atmospheric light. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt speaks both to heart and mind to everyone between the ages of 7 and 97. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is organized by:

SUMMARY:Alex Mackenzie's Never Been Better Tour
DESCRIPTION:Alex Mackenzie is taking the comedy world by storm\, and his Never Been Better tour proves why. Mackenzie gave up everything: his house\, his job\, and even the respect of his family to pursue his stand-up dreams. He has never looked back. \n\n\n\nAfter years of relentless hustle\, that gamble is paying off in a big way. As an independent artist from Prince George\, BC\, Alex has self-produced all of his own shows without the backing of a major label\, and the results speak for themselves. With over 100 million views online\, a feature on Amazon Prime\, sold-out theatres across Canada and Australia\, and an arena performance for over 2\,000 fans\, Alex is proving that betting on yourself can lead to something incredible. \n\n\n\nWhat truly sets Alex apart is the experience he creates. Known as the happiness cheerleader of comedy\, his shows feel like you’re hanging out with your best friend: positive\, interactive\, and full of life. Every night is unique\, with crowd work that makes the audience part of the story\, brand-new material woven with deep life lessons\, and the unmistakable passion of someone who risked it all to chase a dream. \n\n\n\nYou might not remember every single joke\, but you’ll always remember how it made you feel. Everyone will leave happier than when they arrived\, carrying lifelong memories with their loved ones. Even after the lights go down\, the joy from this night will stay with you. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is organized by:
