The Northern Arts and Cultural Centre (NACC) is a publicly and privately funded not-for-profit organization & federally registered charity. NACC actively enriches communities across the NWT through the power of the performing arts. NACC provides diverse world-renowned programming, school adged workshops, visual artist exhibits, and more. NACC is incredibly proud that in addition to our Yellowknife showings, we regularly tour performers to Inuvik, Norman Wells, Fort Simpson, Hay River, and Fort Smith. We are dedicated to increasing the accessibility of the arts to people across the NWT on an ongoing basis.

The NACC theatre is the largest and most modern performing arts facility in the NWT. Located in the capital city of Yellowknife, NACC is committed to the success and growth of our territory, which is rich in culture, creativity, self-expression, and passion. We actively welcome people of all backgrounds to benefit from the events and opportunities we offer. Your support is essential for us to continue this important work.

How I can support NACC?

Individual Donations: Your individual donation can go to a variety of programs.

  • Connecting Communities: NACC Across the NWT
Support NACC’s initiative to bring performances across Northwest Territories by donating to our “Connecting Communities: NACC Across the NWT” fund. This initiative enables us to tour world-renowned artists to communities across the territory, enriching the cultural landscape and providing unique artistic experiences for residents. By contributing to this fund, you help foster creativity, inspire local talent, and promote cultural exchange in communities. Together, we can ensure that people across the NWT have access to the transformative power of the arts.
  • Building Bridges Through Art: NACC for New Immigrants
NACC believes in the power of community and the arts to bring people together. That’s why we’ve partnered with the NWT Literacy Council to launch the “NACC for New Immigrants” initiative. This program provides complimentary tickets to NACC productions for new immigrant families. The NWT Literacy Council supports immigrants from around the globe, and through this partnership, we aim to help them connect with our vibrant community. Attending NACC productions not only fosters cultural exploration but also encourages relationships with fellow community members. Your support for the “NACC for New Immigrants” fund will directly contribute to enriching the experiences of newcomers, helping them feel at home in our community.
  • Patrons of Tomorrow: NACC Programming in Schools
Year after year, NACC presents world-renowned performances to schools across the NWT. These professional performances help foster a love for the performing arts among Northern youth, inspiring creativity and appreciation for the arts. Our “Patrons of Tomorrow: NACC in Schools” fund supports bringing high-quality performances to schools in Yellowknife, Inuvik, Hay River, Norman Wells, Fort Simpson, and Fort Smith. We believe that engaging young audiences with exceptional artistry is crucial for nurturing their creativity and cultural awareness. By investing in the next generation, we aim to cultivate a vibrant community that values the arts for years to come.
