Northern Spark Emerging Artist Series

A Collaboration Between NACC and The UNDerground

Effortless is a collection of short contemporary dance works created by professional and emerging choreographers based in Yellowknife. This one-time performance calls into question the idea that dance is simply “beautiful” or easy; revealing the labour, risk, and creative process beneath what appears seamless on stage.

Featuring choreography by Fia Grogono, Tomiko Robson, Jordyn Riou, and Benjamin Mujuni, Effortless offers audiences an investigation into how movement stories are built, shaped, and refined.

A Q&A with the artists will follow the performance.
