The Northern Arts and Cultural Centre is a 297-seat theatre in Yellowknife, NT, with 4 additional wheelchair seating spots. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and comfortable with a proscenium stage, vibrant red theatre seats, a foyer featuring work by Northern artists, and a concession with local brew from NWT Brewing Company. The venue hosts intimate performances, with the furthest seat being only 35 feet from the stage.
Our backstage area is home to two dressing rooms with bathroom and shower facilities, and a renovated loading dock with ample storage space.

Why Book With Us?
We’ll work with you to ensure your event is a success! The following services are included in each rental:
- Our Technical Director is on-site to assist you from load in until load out.
- Our Technical Director will help you utilize our technical equipment to make sure you get the most out of your production’s lighting and sound. Changes to our house lighting hang can be made upon request.
- A Front of House staff member will be on-site the day of your performance to ensure your patrons have a great experience.
- All performance tickets will be displayed on our website and tickets sold through our box office, which means we’ll handle the sales and distribution for you. Our box office is open Tuesday through Friday, 12:30pm to 4:30pm, and an hour before every show.
- We’ll include your performance in our bi-weekly newsletter to help you get the word out about your event.
- The following instruments can be made available upon request:
- 1 Grand Piano
- 1 Stand-up bass
- 1 Cello
- These additional services can be added to your rental for a fee:
- A projector for screenings and/or conferences
- Tables for use in the lobby before or after a performance
- Catering
- Piano tuning
- Merchandise sales
