Artist of the Month at NACC
ARTIST STORY
“My Métis ancestry influences my life in various ways, as a fisherman and an artist. I have been a commercial fisherman for over 10 years, and harvesting the fish myself allows me to make jewelry from the ear-bones (otoliths) of the fish. Being raised to enjoy traditional activities such as hunting, fishing, riding horses, and gathering produce from the land has allowed me to embrace my creative side in other ways with “stained wood” art as well.
Becky’s work will be displayed and for sale at NACC for the month of January 2026.
